Meet the Musicians
“Tory” a.k.a. Victory Dove has been singing in front of
audiences since age 10, playing guitar since age 7; well over 3
decades now. She moved to Florida from New England to warm up,
and now her three-octave vocal range is doing fine. Some favorites
are Bluegrass, folk ballads and dance tunes from around the world.
“Nashville Ron” Long has run his own Sound and Lighting
company in Indiana and a high-quality recording studio in Tennessee,
working with many big names prior to settling in Florida. He has
decades of piano experience and has been a member of many
different bands, especially Country, on several instruments, but his
primary love is tickling the ivories (or plastic keys), as he does with us.
“Chip” a.k.a. Chris Farnum has played Jazz Drums and other
styles of percussion over the past four decades. He divides his time
between this Trio and two big bands, but he only sings with our Trio. It
is an unusual but valuable skill to be able to play with both hands and
both feet as well as vocals simultaneously!
“Fabulous Fred” Capatelli (not pictured) has played multiple
instruments and led bands of large and small sizes over many
decades. He is on-call to join us for special venues on Sax, Flute,
Harmonica, and additional percussive instruments. His specialty is
Jazz, but he handles all styles with equal panache.
“Skillful Susan” Humen (not pictured) is our on-call violinist who
plays with a very sweet sound for lead or harmony. She prefers “real
oldies” from the ’30s-’40s, but plays a wide spectrum. She also has
keyboard skills.
